From legendary director Steven Spielberg comes the epic adventure War Horse, a tale of incredible loyalty, hope, and tenacity. When they’re forced apart by war, we follow Joey’s extraordinary journey as he changes and inspires the lives of everyone he meets. Filled with spectacularly rich visuals - and complete with never-before-seen bonus features - War Horse is a "Genuine movie masterpiece," (Rex Reed, The New York Observer) and one of the most powerful and moving stories of friendship ever told.

I was a little disapointed in this movie. I waited forever to see it and it did not deliver what I was hoping for. I think Steven Spielberg is a great director but when you need tears and jubilation at those points in the movie, he held the scenes too long. For instance, when he finally gets a chance to buy Jerry back at the auction; I would have cut that scene completely out. The drama was just not there. No tears of joy or anything. The last scene of the movie was so inspired by Gone with the Wind that I thought it was kinda hokie.

I loved the horse(s) in the movie. Being an old horse rider and stuff, I caught the double fairly easily. Once you have been received into the mind of a horse through it's eyes, you will never be the same again. This movie missed doing that. Unlike Seabiscuit which has the best finishing scene in any horse movie. Remember? "There you go Red...Have a nice ride" Still brings tears to my eyes.
